They are closely related to the better known stromatolites found at Hamelin Pool, near Shark Bay. Eucalyptus Blossom, Pendant

I asked glass artist Bev Butler and textile/fibre artist Lynne Stone to produce the flowers and leaves of this, the most Australian of flowering plants. Each necklace is a completely unique combination of colours, reflecting the myriad variations of the eucalypts. This is a white version. Red version also available. Lampworked glass beads, embroidered hand-dyed polyester leaves and winding yarn, sterling silver armature .

Visiting Kings Park in Perth, I was struck by the juxtaposition of the reflected trees in the glass verandah railings, the wooden decking and the stylised trees of the awning.
